I just got back from an adrenaline filled experience. I found out 45 minutes before a deadline that FedEx had failed to deliver a very important submittal due to “mechanical difficulties.” So me and my colleagues had to go into emergency mode to re-create the submittal in-house. Did I make it?
Yes.
With 2 minutes to spare.
I had to jump in the car and deliver while getting directions on the way, since I didn’t know which building to go to, only had a general mail delivery address .
It’s a good thing I didn’t find out any later, and it’s a good thing that I work with smart people who do not trust FedEx or UPS and check to make sure that things get delivered.

Next time are you going to generate 2 submittals ?

Maybe send via both FedEx and UPS?
There is only so much one can do, it was just fortunate that this potential client was within a 20 minute drive. That is certainly not always the case. Often we try to allow two days for an overnight delivery for just such issues , but didn’t manage that this time.

Our Sprinter spends plenty of time in that position....
Might have something to do with the 240,000 miles on it, or the falsified service history.

It's pretty stupid FedEx had an issue getting it 20 minutes down the road from you.
